Bell Bay temporary shutdown
Hydro Tasmania today advised it has been forced to stop using Bell Bay Power Station because of an interruption to gas supplies from Victoria.

Annual cloud seeding program starts in April
Hydro Tasmania will begin its annual cloud seeding program in April. With hydro storages continuing to decline, this year’s program will be particularly important to increase inflows into the catchments.

Hydro Tasmania to sell Bell Bay Power Station site to Alinta
Hydro Tasmania has confirmed that it has signed a heads of agreement with Alinta Energy (Tamar Valley) Pty Ltd for the sale of Bell Bay Power Station site, including the Gas Turbines.

Lake Margaret former workers and residents reunite
Hydro Tasmania and the West Coast Council will host a reunion this Sunday of former Lake Margaret residents and power station workers. The ‘Back to Lake Margaret Day’ is an event of nostalgia through the sharing of memories of living and working in the village.
