Hydro Tasmania Consulting staff have shown overwhelming support for the revised enterprise agreement.
The Australian Electoral Commission has advised that of the 172 votes cast, 164 or 94 per cent, voted for the agreement.
The two-year agreement provides:
• 4 per cent fixed increase (year 1) and 3.75 per cent in year 2
• 0.5 per cent fixed for maintaining adequate capability (paid in year 1 & 2)
• Salary progression pool of 1.75 per cent in year 1 and 2 per cent year 2.
• Performance bonus 1.25 per cent in both years plus 30 per cent top-up if the business makes a profit.
• Increased Defence leave provisions
• Improved carers’ leave benefit
• 1 week paid paternity leave
General Manager Consulting Scott Baddiley welcomed the outcome of the vote which had clearly demonstrated the benefits of improved communications across the business.
Luke Crowley from the Association of Professional Engineers, Scientists and Managers, Australia (APESMA) said he believed the concerns of staff had been identified.
“We are looking forward to working and collaborating with Hydro Tasmania Consulting over the life of the agreement,” he said.
